Evaluation of Turkish Construction Industry:
 
In 2006, Turkish construction industry has beaten the record of growth. The percentage of growth in 2006 was actually 21.5 % which made Turkish construction industry the most growing industry of 2006. The growth of the industry continued in 2007 and the ratio of 2007's first half growth to 2006's first half was 19.3 %. With this rate, construction was the number one among all industries of Turkey when growing rate is considered.
 
Investment on residence was 60 % of total constructional investments and the percentage of investments on substructure and investments on building excluding residences are 20 % and 20 % respectively.
 
When Investments made considered 2006 was the year which both private and public sector had a growth:
 
The share of constructional production value in Turkish economy is 9 % and when products/services related to construction industry (i.e. cement, glass, iron-steel, plastics, chemicals, ceramic, wood, banks, insurance, consultancy, architecture, engineering) are considered, the share of construction industry becomes 30 % of GNP.  When the GNP in 2006 was considered to be USD 360 Million, the importance of construction industry for Turkey becomes evident. In addition, 11.7 % of total Turkey's export in constructional materials (such as cement, iron-steel, ceramic, glass etc) and Turkey is one of the leading players in the world at those products.
