Heavy moon soon rains which began last week caused severe damage in SMEDA-ER flood affected areas. 8 out of 29 project districts have been put in state of emergency by district governments. Necessary measures have been taken to prevent any unwanted incident to project staff. Apart from other loss of life & property in the affected areas these rains have also affected the project interventions. Keeping in view the recent happenings SMEDA-ER is working to provide general insurance cover to its grantees to prevent such incidents in future.
