WBIC: Tenants’ Selection Criteria

A “Small Business” owned and controlled by a woman or women, either startup or existing, fulfilling the following criteria can be considered for granting facilities at WBIC:

  1. More than 50% of the business is owned by woman or women;
  2. the management and daily business operations are controlled by woman or women;
  3. Employs less than 30 persons
  4. Investment in the business is preferably less than Rs. 2 million (to encourage startups)

In addition, following considerations will also be kept in mind in the process of selection.

  1. Preference will be given to entrepreneurs having a Bank Account and an NTN
  2. Entrepreneurs having a well developed business plan will be preferred in the selection process.
  3. Current status of the business to assess the need for services of WBIC and their suitability for future business success or growth – Applicants’ business scope, function, and activities falling within preview of WBIC
  4. Applicant has  secure sources of funding for running the business
  5. The line of business falls within the selected preferred sectors
  6. Client doesn’t have any other office or branch office.
  7.  Applicant is committed not to misuse the WBIC Office facility for any as a retail/wholesale outlet

WBIC: Tenants’ Selection Process:

In order to give relieve to women entrepreneurs, WBIC omit all the complicated procedure of office allotment. Now a women entrepreneur just has to come and:

  1. Fill a Membership Form
  2. Submit stamp paper of Rs. 100 worth along with ID card copy
  3. Sign the agreement and with a male witness
  4. Submit two months rent (current month + one month advance as security)
  5. And the desired office will be her at that moment.
